Senior Vice President, Special Projects
Ed serves as Senior Vice President of Special Projects. In this role, Ed leads government affairs and supports Scoular’s business development and strategy initiatives through his board service with Bushel and the Commodities Futures Trading Commission.
Ed has more than 35 years of experience in agribusiness. His career began with Conagra Brands where he served in a variety of roles over a 24-year time span. The first 10 years of his career were spent in ingredient merchandising in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by an assignment in Greeley, Colorado, where he managed cattle feeding and cattle procurement for Conagra Beef Company. He stayed with Conagra Brands and returned to Omaha where he served in positions of increasing responsibility in commodity trading and risk management, eventually serving as Vice President and General Manager of Agricultural Risk Strategies.
In 2008, he joined Gavilon and served in vice president roles with responsibilities related to ingredient trading and commodity risk management. Ed most recently served as the Chief Trade and Risk Officer for Gavilon in Omaha.
Ed holds a bachelor of science degree in Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University.
