EMPLOYEE STORY

From a job to a career

Whether coming from an agriculture background or new to the industry and eager to learn, the employees who operate our grain facilities are critical to the success of nearby farming communities and the supply chains we support.

Fresh out of high school, laborer Tyler Dishman learned everything from blending grains to filling bunkers to operating shuttle loaders at our Downs, Kansas facility.

“You could see from the start he was a leader,” says Doug Lantz, facility manager at Downs. “He kept taking on more responsibility.”

Tyler was promoted to Superintendent at a nearby facility, and later to a higher-level Superintendent role in Pratt, Kansas.
