Mixed Tocopherols
Scoular’s Natural Source Mixed Tocopherols (vitamin e) are natural antioxidants that have been isolated from edible vegetable oils. They are a widely used ingredient in food and dietary supplement solutions to help protect finished products from the damaging effects of oxidation. In doing so, they extend product shelf life and help prevent chemical reactions which can lead to undesirable changes in finished product flavor, odor, or color.
Phytosterols
Phytosterols, or plant sterols, are derived from edible vegetable oils including soy, corn, and canola, among others. Plant sterols are widely used in food and dietary supplement solutions and have been shown in numerous studies to help lower cholesterol.
Soy Lecithin
Soy lecithin is a versatile and essential ingredient in the food industry, widely used for its powerful emulsifying, stabilizing, and nutritional properties. Derived from soybeans, this non-GMO ingredient can be added to a wide range of products to prevent separation in water and fat-based mixtures, to decrease surface tension and allow for enhanced dispersion of powders and liquids, or to prevent sticking to manufacturing surfaces.
Sunflower Lecithin

Vitamin E
Scoular’s d-alpha tocopherol oil is a natural source form of Vitamin E derived from edible vegetable oils. It is used to supplement products like soft-gels, tablets, nutritional bars and beverages with Vitamin E. Scoular offers Vitamin E in a few different forms: d-alpha tocopherol oil, acetate oil, acetate powder and succinate powder. The acetate form of Vitamin E provides better long-term stability where exposure to light or oxygen may be a concern, and the powder acetate form is used in tableting. The succinate form is widely used as a source of Vitamin E in dietary supplement applications such as tableting.

Allulose
Allulose is a rare sugar naturally found in fruits or crops and is known as the leading next-generation sweetener due to its sugar-like sweetness and almost zero calorie content. Offered in crystalline and syrup formats, this non-GMO ingredient, which is 70% as sweet as sugar, can offer a versatile solution for those looking to cut down on added sugars with the added benefits of low caloric content while maintaining a taste profile similar to sugar.
Maltodextrin
Maltodextrin is produced by enzymatic treatment of purified non-GMO corn or tapioca starch. Due to its clean, neutral taste and slight sweetness, it functions well as a carrier or bulking agent in a variety of food, confectionery and supplement applications.
Pea Starch
Scoular’s pea starch is a native, clean label starch that is neutral in flavor, relatively high amylose content, low gelatinization temperature and is stable under high temper acid and shear.
