Scoular announces appointment of four vice presidents

OMAHA, Nebraska (Oct. 4, 2022) – Scoular on Tuesday announced the appointment of four new officers. These new vice presidents are leaders in their fields with a track record of creating growth in agribusiness. The recently elected vice presidents are: 

 

  • Bill Davis, Vice President, General Manager, Renewable Energy 
  • Chad Gauger, Vice President, General Manager, High Nutritional Value Proteins 
  • Sandra Hulm, Vice President, General Manager, Pulses, Seeds, Sunflower and Bird Food 
  • Joe Thompson, Vice President, Senior Associate General Counsel

Over the last several years it has expanded in the Asia-Pacific, built manufacturing facilities to create solutions for its customers, created a new division to explore emerging markets, opened a new global headquarters in Omaha and launched new sustainability programs. 


Bill Davis: Davis has spent his career growing and developing new businesses and, as Scoular’s leader of renewable energy, brings energy and agriculture together. He helped to launch the renewable fuels business at Conagra and served as Senior Director of Renewable Trading at Tenaska. He came to Scoular in 2019 to help the company navigate new renewable energy mandates as well as voluntary programs. 

Chad Gauger: Gauger brings more than 25 years of experience to Scoular, where he leads the high nutritional value proteins business in the fast-growing, international marine, animal and plant-based proteins markets. He joined Scoular in 2021 and previously held key roles at Cargill such as Managing Director of Aquaculture Nutrition and Global Risk Management Director for Animal Nutrition. At Cargill, Gauger built diverse teams in many geographies; he worked in Singapore, Indonesia, Norway and Thailand.  

Sandra Hulm: For over 25 years, Hulm has been successfully leading and motivating teams in global supply chain operations, procurement and commodity risk management. Before coming to Scoular in August, Hulm was Vice President of Procurement at Conagra Brands. Prior to Conagra, she held various roles at ADM, including managing its North America sunflower oil program. Hulm also was a board member at Ardent Mills during her time at Conagra. 

Joe Thompson: Thompson has played a key role in Scoular’s strategic acquisitions and expansions since joining the company in 2018. He oversees international commercial transactions as well as transactions for Petsource, a rapidly expanding wholly owned subsidiary of Scoular. Thompson also is assistant corporate secretary for Scoular’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Scoular, Thompson was a partner at various law firms.
