Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary
Kari O’Neill Potts serves as Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary. She leads Scoular’s team of lawyers and legal professionals, overseeing all legal, compliance, and legal risk matters for the company. Kari is also responsible for the governance and management work for the company’s Board of Directors and serves as the company’s Corporate Secretary.
Kari has over 15 years of diverse legal experience and expertise in global commercial markets, the agriculture industry, and manufacturing and sales. Before joining Scoular, Kari held multiple leadership roles at Valmont where she most recently served as Vice President & General Manager North America – Global Agriculture. Prior to serving in that operations leadership role, Kari had served in various domestic and international leadership roles in Valmont’s in-house legal department, last as Deputy General Counsel where she specialized in partnering with company leaders on solving complex commercial, compliance, and other legal matters worldwide.
Kari graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Creighton University School of Law. She is board president for the Omaha Public Schools Foundation and Mentor Nebraska, and serves as a board member of the Omaha Community Foundation. Kari is also a member of the Direct Women class of 2024.
